My name is Jennifer Shelton and I am a self-taught artist. I have been painting murals, faux finishing, painting canvases, and even general painting rooms (both residentially and commercially) for going on nine years now. Most of my experience in painting has involved kids spaces...theme rooms, murals and the like, that can make an average room seem not so average.

Enough about me...let's get down to the basics of this site and what it can do for you.

First of all, I want you to know that all of the information available to you on this site has been tried and perfected by yours truly. I haven't had any formal training and am self-taught by trial and error and by tons of experience. Because I have a wide array of painting experience in different areas, friends and family are often asking for painting tips so I thought others might need a few tips too.

This site is dedicated to the do-it-yourselfer and the professional artist. You'll find everything here...general painting tips, tips on theme choice, step by step guides on mural painting, and faux finishing tips and tricks of the trade.
